Ken S. LeBlanc, DDS
Dentist Lafayette, LA
A proud native of Lafayette, Louisiana, Dr. Ken LeBlanc draws on his 42 years of dental experience to craft impeccable smiles for his patients. Dr. LeBlanc sees himself not only as a highly trained dentist, but also as an artist, creating beautiful smiles on the living canvasses of his patients’ lives.
His father, Dr. Andrew LeBlanc, founded his Lafayette dental practice in 1940. After graduating from the LSU School of Dentistry in 1979, Dr. LeBlanc joined his father’s practice and has faithfully served his patients ever since.
Dr. LeBlanc completed the very first comprehensive esthetic dentistry program at the LSU School of Dentistry in 1996 (this prestigious program is recognized as one of the best esthetic dentistry programs in the world). Since 2011, Dr. LeBlanc has also served as a clinical instructor at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Dentistry, teaching Clinical Operative Dentistry (OP2) to second year dental students.
Dr. LeBlanc’s favorite pastime is collecting antique paintings and painting portraits of family members and local residents. His incredible talent for portrait painting with oil paints and canvas has been featured in “Lifestyle Lafayette”, a local society magazine. A self-taught artist, Dr. LeBlanc uses oil paints to realistically capture his subjects. Dr. LeBlanc is a charter member of The Portrait Institute of New York, The Art Students League of New York, and the prestigious American Society of Portrait Artists. He has studied portraiture under portrait masters such as Nelson Shanks and Everett Raymond Kinstler in New York.
“I’ve always been involved in doing things with an artistic leaning and always working with my hands. Cosmetic dentistry gives me a chance to bring out a patient’s true character and beauty. It helps to restore their self-confidence,” says Dr. LeBlanc.
Dr. LeBlanc is a member of the following professional organizations:
- The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (general member since 1993)
- The Academy of General Dentistry (since 1979)
